    ah yes and here we get to the downsides of moving to dreamwidth, namely: no native image hosting.

    i've been working on map generation kind of for the past two days and finally got everything working to the point where i could add the new code to the map generation. here's before and here's after. this is still very early-on, the idea is that now i have way more information about PATHS and can use that to generate, like, paths through water shallows or place events of interest at all those dead-ends, stuff like that. build more detailed rooms now that i have some graph data about the paths going through them, or selectively block roads by placing encounters on top of them, etc.

    also some of this is general enough to translate outside of the context of HELL GAME, though i haven't yet really generalized it.

    also working on: writing some stuff. like actual story stuff, not hell game events.
