    ugh no minecraft is still as tapped-out as ever. idk. i just want a game... not "like minecraft" as such, but a 3d game that is about base-building and ideally is more about the world being big and alarming and having moving parts than about having a tech tree where you can get guns or w/e.

    and that's not only gettable via steam

      oh, no, i hadn't. that looks... very similar i think to what i'd want, maybe. though there's the usual problem of not owning any of the machines it can run on. also huh, wow, that looks super minecrafty. it's always interesting to see huge corporations try to cash in on the bad art minecraft aesthetic.

      (like i think my best bet is working on my own game, but that's not super satisfying from a playing games perspective. oh well.)
