y'know sometimes i feel like i should tweak this layout / write a new layout that's a little less 90s livejournal. something with better fonts and sharper layout.
actually part of it is the MANIFOLD NATURE of dreamwidth layouts -- any given layout is supposed to support all of one column / two column / three column configurations, with any possible combination of navigation blocks. so that kinda limits how many neat design elements you can put in there.
still, i could probably do at least a little better. or at least fix / finish the comment page, because wowwww is it ever a mess. (but the dw comment selector runs with this giant chunk of javascript that also includes a bunch of tracking/analytics i don't want on my blog, so i'd have to basically reimplement it in a more LIGHTWEIGHT fashion.)
