yknow i know i've been making progress w/ hell game but it's still disheartening to look at the todo list and realize i can't cross off a single thing yet. partly because the things on the todo list are all large multi-step things and i haven't been focusing on finishing things. but also partly because i have not, precisely, been making rapid process.

i read this article recently that was basically like: you take a long time to do something, you procrastinate a lot, and what you end up with is this sense that things are much harder and more difficult than they really are. because look how long it takes to do anything! when 90% of that time is procrastination and avoiding work. do more things and they all start seeming easier and also you start finishing things vastly faster than you expect

so that's something i've been working on, with a limited amount of success. breaking habits does, in fact, take some time and effort.
