oh yeah and i cleaned the trash room. in terms of actual time expended it took less than a day.
it's kind of disheartening in a way, b/c it's like... the room had been like that for years? and it was this weird terrible eyesore and started to be this infuriating marker of just how terrible the house was to live in.
and it took like a day to clean up!
and also my housemates were like "oh i don't know if it's worth it i mean the leak still isn't fixed; we'd have to re-tarp it when we fix it anyway (not that we have any eta at all on when that might be and is looking to be another year or two)" and i wanted to be like YOU HAVE STACKED PILES OF BOXES IN THAT ROOM. RIGHT ON TOP OF THE RUBBLE FROM THE TORN-OUT ROOF. YOU WOULD HAVE TO RE-TARP IT ANYWAY. PLEASE STOP TRYING TO DRAG ME DOWN INTO BEING OKAY W/ LIVING IN SQUALOR.
but anyway it's clean now! i mean, as clean as piles of storage boxes can be, i guess, but at least there are no drapes of plastic sheeting anywhere.
