Adolescent Lycanthrope Gaiden ch. 2

in which i kind of vaguely throw together bits and pieces of a horror pastiche that no one, not even the characters, is taking seriously enough to sideline all the werewolf fucking they're having.

the pacing tho is actually kind of gonna be a problem, because the goal is to basically have a few chapters of the 'main story' vs. this one where there's a bunch of dramatic irony. like: so that other werewolf in this chapter (spoilers) ends up having a conversation w/ the narrator in the three-weeks-later chronology of the mainline story, that kind of explains some of what he's going to be doing in the gaiden chapter after this. and the gaiden chapter after this introduces some characters that will appear in the mainline story, and sans the context of the gaiden would actually be like, scary and threatening if the reader didn't at that point know what their whole deal was. the problem with that is that it means i need to write like, four chapters of the main story before i can get to the next gaiden chapter, so all the dramatic irony lines up. that's gonna be... a thing.

actually what's interesting is that as i've posted these on sofurry each new chapter has gotten roughly half the views of the previous one, so it's gonna be interesting to see this one stabilize at like, 500 views. well no, in practice it's just gonna become a slower-dropping curve but i kinda like the idea of an asymptomatically-approaching-zero popularity curve
