blehhhhh i've been feeling real stressed out about games lately.

the downside to judging yr self-worth by comparing it to people who get even less accomplished is that when you know people who get a lot done you feel even worse!! that whole angle is really petty and awful, also.

like wanting to make a game is all well and good but "a game" is awfully abstract, especially if you can't settle down and trade in all that broad potential for something narrowly-defined but, you know, existing.

i wonder when the first "twitch plays {exclusive pre-release copy of upcoming AAA game to build hype}" will happen

actually a game that's only playable via a twitch plays frontend sounds like a pretty great concept. SOCIAL GAMING

honestly the biggest practical difference i've seen between dreamwidth and tumblr has been that dreamwidth really cares about subject lines. instead of quietly letting a post with no subject line go, it'll replace it with (no subject) in basically every context possible. this goes for comments too. the biggest chunk of work i've done w/ this layout has been trying to excise that
